We see the world as we want to, not what it truly is. It’s easier this way. We don’t have to accept the faults, the wrongs, deal with the pressure, or struggle through lessons placed before us. For some, it is easier to embrace the good, hide from the bad, and sweep the ugly under a rug. As the “enablers” we allow others to never reach their full potential and in turn hinders our growth as an individual to do the things needed – the hard task of saying, “No. I will not allow you to…stunt my growth.” We make excuses as to why we never look at how to solve, instead it’s “eventually, it will work itself out.” As victims and culprits it can be hard to face the truths placed in front of us. We see the world as we want it to be.
