Whether or not you wear glasses,

You see the world through a lens

You’ll see the color, red

I’ll see the color, Victorian red

You’ll find the circle

I’ll find the peg

And just maybe

For once

We happen upon

The same vision.

Maybe, just once,

We focus on the same goal.

With the vision

With this goal

Our choice is to make it come to fruition

Or, let it float away

“If we saw it once, another could possibly happen, right?”

Maybe not tonight

Or, the next

Maybe not even with you

Or another

Eventually, the vision becomes clear

The goal obtainable

The outcome phenomenal

And, at last

We understand the journey we had to take

To reach the happiness

Is one

That only we can make.
